Leaving Homelessness Behind

A project with the purpose of eliminating homelessness in our community.

Overview

The Leaving Homelessness Behind Program provides case management and rental assistance.  It specifically targets the gap between when a family is homeless and when they begin accessing the resources that will help them get back on their feet and transition from homelessness to stability in an efficient and streamlined way.  It will also give these families earlier access to the resources they need in order to grow and develop the personal skills and abilities needed for long term stability and self-sufficiency.

Requirements

1. Must have a minor child/children

2. Be eligible for Section 8 Housing or on the waiting list 
3. Be homeless
4. Ongoing case management to work on goals to become self sufficient
5. Mandatory work shops
