Life Skills Workshops
Life Skills Workshops are mandatory for participants who joined FSS October 2006 or later and are highly encouraged for all other FSS participants. Life Skills help FSS participants address basic day to day living skills. Often these skills are acquired through "trial and error" but by learning about them directly, the hope is that you can make fewer "errors" and will feel less stressed by daily life. The Life Skills Workshop series will be offered in the morning and the evening in 2008:
Morning session begins at 9:30 AM; evening session begins at 5:30 PM:
March 6, 2007- Stressors April 3, 2007 - Employment March 13, 2007- Survivor April 10, 2007 - Emotions March 20, 2007- Finances April 17, 2007 - Child Support March 27, 2007 - Education April 24, 2007 - Tying It All Together
You are encouraged to attend all courses. Completion of the series will entitle you to a Certificate of Completion. For the evening workshops, dinner will be served and childcare will be provided by Grace Church. Meals and childcare are not provided for the morning series. Please register in advance for each workshop and let us know the names and ages of children attending child care. Contact your FSS Coordinator:

FSS Woman's Retreat
The FSS Women's Retreat will be offered twice in 2008. They will be special overnight trips in which the women in the FSS Program can focus on self improvement. It's an opportunity for the participants to get away with other women, work on improving self esteem, learn to set boundaries at work and at home, learn to constructively resolve conflicts and just some time away from daily stress.
The retreats will take place at Camp Bird in Crivitz on May 2-3, 2008 and again October 3-4, 2008. Lunch and transportation will be provided. The retreat is provided free to a maximum of 40 FSS woman participants. We will leave at 8:00 AM on Friday and return at 6:00 PM on Saturday. Participants will be responsible for securing their own child care for the day. Please RSVP to DonElla Payne at 432-3056 or by email .
